Our Grade 5/6 students embark on a two-night (three-day) camp every year, alternating between two enriching experiences:
Camp Rumbug
Nestled in the majestic hills of South Gippsland, Camp Rumbug offers a unique adventure camp experience. Set within 200 acres of temperate rainforest overlooking Wilsons Promontory National Park, it provides a range of exciting activities designed to build confidence, teamwork, and resilience. Accommodation is available for up to 270 people in purpose-built lodges, ensuring a comfortable stay amidst nature pgladventurecamps.com.au
Sovereign Hill
Located in Ballarat, Sovereign Hill is a renowned open-air museum that brings the 1850s gold rush era to life. Our students participate in an immersive educational program where they step into the shoes of children from the past, engaging in historical lessons and activities. This hands-on approach enhances their understanding of Australian history in a memorable and interactive setting. A much anticipated highlight of camp is a visit to the candy store. sovereignhill.com.au
These camps provide our students with valuable opportunities to develop independence, resilience, and a deeper appreciation for Australia’s rich history and natural beauty.
We have included below some photos of our students enjoying their adventures at Camp Rumbug in 2024.
