The St. Leonard’s Wellbeing Centre was established to foster positive learning experiences for students whose needs may not easily be met in the classroom environment.
The Centre promotes engagement in relevant learning and fosters relationships helping students connect to others in positive ways. Students develop a sense of accomplishment and achievement through the provision of personal learning plans to meet their needs.
The Centre is open at lunchtime to enable children to make positive social connections in a supported environment.
The Wellbeing Centre Offers:
- A very high teacher/learning support staff to student ratio
- A physically, mentally and emotionally safe place to learn, to play and to be supported
- A flexible curriculum catering for the widely varying abilities and interests of students
